zero2infinity starts test campaign

zero2infinity begins microbloon 2.0 test launch in León, Spain.

zero2infinity has proceeded to the next level in its test plan. On May 29th, 2012, the team was ready on the launch pad in León, Spain, for the first test flight of microbloon 2.0, a 2m diameter pressurized pod designed by zero2infinity as a scaled model of the full bloon pod. The wind conditions were particularly harsh and the test had to be terminated prematurely. However this first test flight of the microbloon program is a significant step forward and brings the newspace company forward in its quest to develop safe and rapidly reusable near-space launch capabilities.
