Caixa Capital Risc invests in zero2infinity
Caixa Capital Risc, the venture capital subsidiary of “la Caixa”, Spain's 3rd largest financial institution, has invested in zero2infinity. Additionally, several Spanish private investors have joined this Series A round.
Commenting on the operation and what it means for the company, founder and CEO Jose Mariano Lopez-Urdiales, said, “Seeing the edge of space from electronic eyes on prototypes was exciting, now is the time for real human eyes, pilot eyes.” A first human test flight of minibloon, a scaled down version of bloon, is expected for 2012.

Congratulations for achieving this important milestone. You're leading the path to make Catalunya known to the world, not tonly for "calçots" and "castells", but for some pioneering human spaceflight. Good luck for 2012.
Bloon project is going to give us the great opportunity to explore and LIVE the space in such a different way never before seen. It will be like a dream come true for all we trust in an open space for all. Thanks ZERO2INFINITY! Joan Portero Aeropace testing Project Leader Applus+ Technological Center
